Chad Smith, a co-founder and Managing Partner of Constraints Management Group (CMG), is the leading authority on Actively Synchronized Replenishment (ASR), having been pivotal in its development and with extensive experience in ASR implementations in a variety of manufacturing environments.

CMG is a services and technology company based in Enumclaw, WA, specializing in pull-based manufacturing, materials and project management systems for mid-range and large manufacturers. Chad’s clients, past and present,  include LeTourneau Technologies, Boeing, Intel, Erickson Air Crane, Siemens, IBM, The Charles Machine Works (Ditch Witch) and Oregon Freeze Dry.

Chad is an internationally recognized expert in Theory of Constraints technology, receiving his formal training at the Avraham Y. Goldratt Institute Academy and working under the direct tutelage of Dr. Eli Goldratt, originator of the Theory of Constraints and author of The Goal, for several years.

Since the late 1990’s Chad Smith and his partners and colleagues at CMG have been at the forefront of articulating and developing the concepts behind Actively Synchronized Replenishment (ASR), as well as building ASR-compliant technology.

Today Chad is in demand as a speaker on ASR, and from August 2008 Chad will be conducting regular Actively Synchronized Replenishment webinars both in a public and a company-dedicated format.

He is also co-author of the ASR White Paper,  Beyond MRP – Meeting the Current Materials Challenge.
